7mm PRC is SAAMI approved.

9.5-twist is pretty standard for most 7-mags. I've used the 175gr Nosler Partition in my 7mm magnums for years with great results, but these ultra long bullets nowadays are pretty crazy.

I was working on a 145gr LRX load with my last 7-mag, not quite the BC of the 175 ELD-X but still pretty good "modern" design, loaded to 3.340" oal. Last rifle I got them to 3150fps and the drop chart on that was looking pretty tasty.

I sent an email off to Lapua asking about brass for the 7 PRC on the weekend

This was their answer ;

Thank you for your E-mail and request.
At the moment we are pretty fully booked. And we don’t have plans to produce that in the near future. But never say never.
Regards
Janne

The 7 PRC barks and the llamas hit the dirt!

10 yards, followup at a kilometre. Man they can make it far with a hole in them, tough animals

Just glad I’m out on the flatlands now. I imagine if cornered in the bush it would have torn me a new one instead of running

See. You should’ve shot it with the 195gr EOL. Stands for “excellent on llamas”
