Normally I might agree with you but considering the amazing success of the other two PRC cartridges it’s not a stretch to think this one wont do as well also maybe even better, with slightly better ballistics than the 7mm Rem Mag and chambered with the ability to load any weight bullet in its caliber class it’s a no brainer when buying/building a new 7mm caliber rifle for hunting.
I have no doubt it will be very popular with the long range hunting/target crowd as well, all in all what’s not to like with a well improved version of the 7mm Rem Mag.
I have to agree here. it really is well-situated between the 300 PRC and 6.5 PRC. Hornady has done pretty well in this area with the 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, and 300 PRC. All three are doing quite well and the 6mm Creedmoor looks to be not too far behind (IMO another great cartridge). If they have some rifle builders "on deck" to chamber their rifles right out of the gate then I can see this thing taking off. It won't replace any 7-mags but I think it could easily be to the 7-mag what the 300 WSM is to the 300 Win Mag - the WSM became quite popular in its own right.
A T3X or B-14 Wilderness in 7mm PRC could fit nicely into my safe.
