They both do the same job. On the bench I can tell the recoil difference in felt recoil. I get so focused in the moment that i have never even noticed the recoil when I have squeezed off a shot into the vitals of an elk or moose. I got a high end 300 Min Mag rifle for cheap so that is my favorite, not because i prefer the cartridge, i just prefer the rifle.
