7mm Rem Mag vs 7mm Wby Mag?

I know what will and will not feed in the rifle I have. End of discussion. Not only that, but I would go Mashburn 10 times out of 10 over the 7-Ruger.

You don't have a clue, but carry on...

10 out 10 is really a zero, on account of you can't get it to work, when many others have?

Very strange.

There is a big darn difference in people's interpretation of feeding. please tell us all about your personal experience with the round in the Model 70. Speaking of Googler.

Oh Chuck. Just stop it. You're out of your pay grade, again. Your interpretation of feeding is standing in your living room with a pair of mittens on, working a bolt as gingerly as possible. Not sure how that stacks up in real life, but you go with it.
What would you have me say? That I have owned several Model 70's, in several different chambering's, including the one in question, and that they all fed flawlessly, with or without gloves on?
This stuff isn't as complicated as you want to make it. Anything is possible, if you know where to get it, and if you take your wallet out.
Those are trick moves one and two, btw.

Speaking of living rooms. Yours?

And a couple more. This is the hunting and sporting arms section after all. The trick move here is to get off your couch. :)

No video with mittens?

Maybe instead of all that taxidermy, you should have gotten a Model 70 to feed, with a cartridge that you obviously wanted?

Awesome, this ones more entertaining than the AO one. You bored today?

Are you having a gun issue or a cartridge delema? Maybe elaborate a bit, M700's will feed upside down dontcha know!

What's with your marsburn? You were talking that one up like it was the best thing going. I'm not up to date on my 7mm's as my RM works fine and playing with a 280 now. What does a 7 WBee do for anyone besides 100fps extra?
I'd just push the 7RM to the limit and call it good. If I needed a hot 7mm I'd try the gunwerks 7 LRM probably.

Volume is the answer to the speed junkie's prayers, and in this respect, the cavernous powder capacity of the 7mm Ultra combined with 26"-28" of barrel length should be the darling of the go fast crowd; but seasoned riflemen know the degree of difficulty that's required to exploit the performance difference between the the 7mm Remington and 7mm RUM. That difference equates to about an inch at 300 yards and about a foot at 1000 yards, big deal. Another contender that should be considered for open country hunting is the .280 Ackley; combined with a 24"-26" barrel, its unlikely that either the game or the hunter could claim the belted cartridge makes a 160 gr Partition any more effective.

The 7mm Weatherby has slightly less case capacity than the 7mm Rem Mag, so all things being equal, the 7mm Rem Mag will be about a whopping 25 fps faster. Any velocity increase of the Weatherby over the Rem Mag comes from higher pressures and/or a longer freebore which increases the effective case capacity. The "equalizer" then is more powder and/or the application of a throat reamer. As stated, the only real difference is the longer neck on the Weatherby which some fantasize as being a boon to accuracy.

Psst...7 LRM is the same as the 7MM-375Ruger that was referenced when this thread ummm...got interesting....but maybe you already knew that and were just trying to lighten the mood ;-)
The 7-375 is about the same overall length but has more capacity than the lrm. They are based on the same case though.
