7mm wsm

how are you getting those volcitys? your posting speeds 150 fps faster then then hotest loads in my loading books? hotest i seen was 3163 with 140

He isn't too far off, if any IMO...A friend loaded me some up to try in mine..The sticker on the ammo container reads ''H4350-63.gr,Win-Lrm, 150gr SCII(scirocco),3100fps. That ony makes Jordan's load 63fps faster...

I have yet to shoot these...Let you know later this week...

i burn out a ruger mkii 270wsm in about 4 lb of powder. i just bought a new one in 7 wsm .

being older and much more wise i now can covert rems and savage barrles to replace burnt out barrels :D

I picked up the Browning Abolt in 7wsm 2 years back, I used 162g Amax over h4831 for targets and Barnes 160 tsx for hunting. The 23" barrels surprised me with its accuracy as it is shooting just under .5 moa out to 700yds. Going to build a custom in the 7wsm this fall.

And the 300 WSM will do the same to the 7mm WSM........... ;)

The 300 wsm can't hang can't hang with the 7wsm but that's splitting a coarse hair. A big 30 is need to run with a 7mm and 162, the price is recoil.

I'm going to look a getting a 7wsm built off a 700 action, lite and handy with some good long range numbers.

I think you're a little confused...

The 7WSM will push the same bullet weight faster than the .270WSM, and will shoot flatter out to intermediate ranges.

my loading manual claims they tie at the same weight of 140 gr. relieze this is far from fact but usually there in the ball park

All else being equal, when using the same case design, the larger bore caliber will always beat the smaller in MV with bullets of the same weight.

That is a course hair. Some talk more than they shoot!

No, it's a very fine hair. :D
I've never cared for any of the WSM's or short fatties, they feed like crap, don't fit into the elastic buttstock holders, won't fit older powder funnels or normal plastic ammo containers and cut mag capacity. If I want to shave 8 ounces of weight, I'll take a dump before heading out.

I'll take a Cindy Crawford over Rosie O'Donnell anyday. ;)

WSM's feed fine, you can modify a powder funnel for WSM us in about 2 minutes, most WSM rifles hold 3+1 and if you can't get it done with 3 shells maybe the problem is not with the gun.... and the WSM plastic ammo containers cost the same as ones for any other magnum cartridge. ;)

I recently acquired a 7mm SAUM...it's likely deader than the WSM, but I really like it.
Very accurate and decent velocities.
I read where some of the long range competition gurus have taken the SAUM into their bosom. Maybe some hope yet.
Regards, Eagleye

The 7SAUM is also excellent. The 7SAUM, 7WSM, and 7-300WSM have really become popular with the long-range competitors in recent years.
