8.5" Grizzly Shotgun Now Available to Pre-Order.

About the Pistol gripped shotguns under 660mm, if they are pistols then why is that single shot backpacker that frontier had for sale not restricted? Is it the 18" barrel? The overall length is definitely under 26".

:) Im getting excited for these things to show up I'm planning on doing a review with lots of detailed pictures of all the internals and the overall Finish on the parts themselves

Any closer to having a shippping date yet? 17 celsius tomorrow. It's Spring!

Haven't actually told the Wife officially about this one yet, good thing I'm the one who gets the mail everyday, and am the only one home during the day. Long as the parcel guy doesn't stop by in the afternoon, and leave a note.

I think she'll figure out I've got a new one, when I spend 3-4 hours a day playing with it.

I'm likely going to order one soon, an 8.5 inch shotty would be awesome.

Lets just hope the R.C.M.Piss on gun owners, doesnt decide to reclass them on us.

Does the grandfather rule not apply any more ?

Grandfathering can only come through an act of legislation. RCMP do not base their decisions on legally legislated laws, therefore anything they deem prohibitted is just that, prohibitted. No 12(x) class, can come except by legislation. Lately they've shown their true colors on these matters, with the T97 Fiasco. A perfectly reasonable rifle, which by any sensible measure should be non-restricted or restricted based upon barrel length, is found to be prohibitted, due the the fact, they claim to have found a way to convert the firearm to full-auto, which of course, they are not required to prove.

The only applicable controversy with these short barrel shotguns, however, is the pistol grip issue. Although, I am in the camp that the pistol grip does not make it restricted, I'm willing to let someone else be the test case for that one. Until it's proven in court to be non-restricted with a pistol grip, mine is going to wear a full stock, at all times.

I was hoping the same thing, 8.8lbs seems really heavy for a gun that size!

I will pre-order the mag fed in a heartbeat......as long as it's lighter than 4kgs.

Ya... same here. I'll wait for someone to post the actual weight before I order. 4kg is too heavy for a pack gun.

I saw a train today loaded with "China Shipping" printed on it's ocean containers couldn't help but wonder if any shotguns were on there. How ever this was in port hope Ontario so I doubt it lol

I'm sure these will get to see all of Canada, once Canada post gets their greasy mitts on them  (Packages tend to get sent everywhere possible before reaching ther final destination) But seeing as the port, and Can Am are in BC, I doubt your shottie was on that train.

Anyone know anything about this vertical grip? What brand? How much? Where to get one?
