820 Lb. Feral Hog

I suspect that in Alabama heat, if that pig was hung and not gutted and skinned right away, it most likely ended up on the garbage heap. Article also states that he took it to get weighed the next day. A shame to waste that much meat, but in that climate, maybe just not practical or economical to process it.

I've only ever hunted wild hog once, (if you could even call it a hunt) but my understanding is that the bigger the boar, the worse the meat tastes. I've heard it said that anything in the "monster" size would be downright inedible. Can't personally verify those comments, though I'd be willing to try!
 
What would that hog taste like compared to pork we get in the store. I know in the usa you can shoot those things at leasure. Be a great food source if they taste good.
