You can do it!?
Yes, if there is enough interest. What we can't do is remove the old finish. The guns would need to be sent to us ready to go to the finisher.

Please explain. My understanding is that the soft point will expand and be a more humane, expedient killing shot, so the surplus stuff would be a bad choice for medium game.
But on small game/varmints, wouldn't the 7.62 x 39 surplus round cause enough tissue damage for a quick kill?
Please note, I have not had the pleasure of hunting anything but paper yet. Just looking to get informed.

yes it is a bathSo you would be doing the entire rifle including the bore?
yes it is a bath
Not at this time. I am sure we can do it for $100 per rifle. Maybe less

sign me up too! Let us know how this needs to be organized, etc. And if anyone knows the best way for removing the existing finish, that would be great too!
Nice mate finish and yes, paintable.im thinking bead blasted to remove the finish not an expert on such things mind you. starting to get complicated too bad you can't just go buy a sandblasting booth from canadian tire and set up to do it would be alot more convenient canam. places like armacoat do the sand/beadblasting as well as the parkerizing and painting. i totaly want to have this done to my cz blasting and nitro carbeurizing bath in one shot deal.
also a quick question what is the finish like after is it black? is the surface paintable?
I don't know what the hunting laws are for Ontario or Quebec, but in British Columbia, it is illegal to hunt anything with a full metal jacket round. They do not expand and just sail right though its target. Its like an ice pick vs a hammer. If you're using your Vz 58 as a coyote blaster, and you don't want to worry about the barrel rusting on you, then use the soft point boxer primed stuff.
