870 and Tactical

Well, tell us how much you paid for it and I'll tell you if it's worth it. I don't think the receiver would be drilled/tapped like the express tactical is. You'll need to buy the "tactical" choke, the tactical forearm stock, the +2 mag extention, and that special "grey-gun-powder-coat" on the "normal" 870 express tactical is supposed to be awesome. Can BGM confirm that?

Oh and that TACTICAL on the receiver is well worth it, seriously. :D

personally, i dont need a drilled/tapped reciever. im not a big fan of hanging stuff off my guns, mostly because im too lazy to hump the extra weight.that being said i wouldnt mind having the ghost ring/rail if i did decide to mount an aimpoint or the eo tech i have here. same with the forearm stock, the one i have on the express magnum works good enough for me. i do agree with the finish though, im not a fan of the parkerizing on the express magnum. i might have to get it duracoated in od green. and a heat shield, that barrel gets pretty hot after two or three boxes of steel bb. i geuss what im trying to say is its all in what works for you.

Remington are marketing geniuses! What other manufacturer frequently engraves a different word in a 50+ year old design receiver and in turn create a completely new, better than ever phenomenon ...EVERY 6 months!!

Maybe winchester with their commemorative 94's could be rivaled, Mossburg tries but look at the roadblocker.....fail! Remington has it figured out.

Ok guys, I have it right here in my hands. I got a call today while shopping (I turned some heads when I said SHOTGUN and TACTICAL, sheeps :D), the call I thought I was going to get next week. :D
This is a very nice shotgun (870 express tactical), the finish is very unique and seems to be very tough (I'll see that in a few range sessions or so). It's not silver, it's dark grey.
I'll post some nice pictures of it when I'll be able to get my friend's camera.
For the price I paid for it, it's a very great buy. No I won't tell you how much I paid for it. But I can tell you I got it from Latulippe here in quebec, the official Remington dealer in Quebec. :D

your floor must be cold your standing on a towel..:D a blacl towel would of been more TACTICAL

A fellow worker showed me his 870 Tactical & after handling it, I just had to have one ;) I called a local dealer and they had one left in stock so I put my name on it and as soon as dayz off came, I picked it up  Definately has a cool factor going for it :D

LOL I'd be just as happy with the Express Mag as I am with my Tactical. In the end its just a short 12 gauge.

I picked up a 870 Express Magnum reciever that I'm going to build up as well. I do like the Silvervein powdercoat on the Tactical better then the crappy parkerizing on the Express.

The Tactical choke tube is neat looking but I have an extended Turkey Extra Full in it now for hunting that patterns 3" lead BB very nicely.

Dude, you'll get your parkerizing, the grey finish peels right off on hidden places, and you actually can get it off easily with a knife. I think it's the normal finish coated with the grey thing. damn... anyway it's still cheaper than building it myself.

Edit: I may get it all off by myself if I don't like the finish in the long run... LOL. :D
