870 Fore End Removal Question

Head down to your local Dollarama or Dollar Store or 99 cent store.

Buy a pair of cheep Kommunist Xhinese high school shop class needle nose pliers. :D

Bend the fzck out of them to match the magazine tube, with ANOTHER cheep Xhinese high school shop class pliers (or a bench vise).

Voila ! C'est bon.

A file, a hacksaw and a 4 inch piece of pipe with a 1" inside diameter,
add about 15 minutes of shop time and you are good to go.....
 
At your CanTire Store get a piece of flat bar 1/8''thick X 11/4''wide X whatever lenght they will sell .Put the flatbar in your vice and bend 2 inches from the end at 90 degrees and voilà..you have the perfect tool.

This is exactly what I did except I found a piece of conduit at work with 1" i.d./1 1/4" o.d.

I cut it off, filed the end to leave two tabs sticking out and drilled a hole through the other end to put a screwdriver through for torque. Worked so amazingly well that I kept it!

I got a 6" length of thin walled tubing with an O.D. of 1" today from a local welding shop. I cut the two tabs to match the notches in the nut, slipped it on and the nut came right off. I was suprised how well it worked. Thanks to everybody for the great ideas.
