Found this under the near side hide when I was skinning this year.

I worked up a load for my .280 Rem 120 TTSX with Superformance powder 3163 FPS, pulled this bullet from a moose shot at 120 yards, almost like Oswald's magic bullet it hit in the chest went up through the spine lodging under the offside scapula, the moose dropped in his tracks I was more than impressed the spent bullet weighs 116 gns.

That’s great performance. I’ve thought about switching to that 120gr TTSX in my 280 lately. I’ve been using 140gr TTSX and 139gr GMX, i haven’t recovered any and haven’t had any failures. But I often feel like the added velocity of then120’s may help give more dramatic effect on game.

I shot a few moose with 180gn 30-06 TTSX TSX and GMX and they all went down, some faster than others. I recovered a few bullets, some with by the book expansion and one with petals folded in…
The one on the far right must be the gmx since it doesn’t say x under the bullet. All of them were shot from factory ammo.
