9.3x62 Browning Bar !!!

Not what, where. Herstal is a municipality in Belgium.

OP, have you had a chance to shoot that BAR yet?

So are all Belgium made browning made there or was there an other Belgium “factory”? I have a BAR Belgium made in the early 60’s, I’m curious.

Well, b/c of this thread, I too now own one! Dang you all!

Looking forward to launching 286 grain rounds as soon as it arrives.

Cheers.

Aaaaaaaannnnddd... Someone is a bad influence LOL... As a result, I entered the fray with my own unicorn! Very fortunate to have found one from a board member & got it all together before my birthday. Yes, yes, I bought my own birthday present lol! Put a Sightron 2-10x32 on it, thanks Tesro! I'm so VERY happy with this boom stick, can't wait to hit the range!

Cheers
Jay

Beautiful rifle! Love the BAR. Great shooters. My .270 Mk.III with 156gr Sako Hammerheads kicks like a heavy-barreled .243 with varmint loads. Accurate, reliable, just a little different and interesting. Enjoy.

i was looking at buying one from Europe a few years ago and every time i turned around everyone had their hand out for more and more money
if i remember correctly the final cost was in excess of buying 3 bar's already in canada ( in 30-06) and climbing rapidly . after going around and around with what felt like endless emails i lost interest and went and bought a nice tig welder .

your thread gives me hope that i may find one in canada yet , congrats on your very nice find . :)

i wish they were available i did get my unicorn short barreled carbine 338 bar safari no sights and weird thing was end of barrel was recess crowned from factorty not like the regular bar crowns what does you muzzle ;look like

AFAIK, Browning have no plans to import these rifles to N-A. In 9.3X62, the big sellers are the BAR and the Maral, I never saw a factory BLR chambered for it.

Thanks! I like the look, it's compact like a carbine & the 2-10x32 Sightron scope just looks right on it. And I agree, the BAR in 9.3x62 is unique here in North America, making it interesting for sure.
