9.3x62 'plans' in motion

Ted Wagner is the gentleman pictured in the canoe and also quite an advocate of the 'parent calibre', the 9.3x62. I can't recall off hand who was the front runner in advocating the calibre change to the 366 Wagner but that change continues to gain popularity:cool:.

That pic looks like something out of National Geographic. :D

After seeing that photograph, I see now how it's fitting. Brings some bearing to the name.

I feel inadequate for that cartridge, because I am in no way a mountain man... yet.

Here's a photo of my 360 Wagner (by the way I thought we agreed on 360 not 366, too many syllables) Johnn, I highly recommend it, but you've already purchased the Zastava. It has the true Bavarian look as well.

It's the one in the rear with the Leupold compact on it, I blooded it on an Atlantic walrus bull with 270 gn Speers @ 2600 fps

Here's another victim of the 360 Wagner I took with one of Ted's 9.3s while he and I and our wives spent a week hunting and fishing a couple years back.

Nice:), VERY nice!! Any chance you could post or PM me details on both rifles? The Mannlicher full length wood style rifles hold a special appeal to me and those two look like real beauties.

Opps, my error. From Gunslingers post #40, I just sort of assumed that as/the 'proposed' cartridge box, that the decission had been made to be the 366 Wagner. Actually,:p I've printed out two appropriate sized copies of that to affix to my first two boxes of reloads. ;)I'm the 'new kid' on the block concerning the 9.3x62 so either way, 360 or 366 , is fine by me. I'll leave that choice to those of you that are the front runners or on point with this calibre. Let me know as when my rifle arrives, I'm toying with getting that calibre change engraved on it.

:cool:Nice photos.

Johnn........that cartridge box was developed before the final decision had been made on the other thread, BUM liked the 366 Wagner but I countered that it was too big a mouthful and liked the simplicity of the 360 Wagner to which BUM seemed agreeable. Might be best to go back and look at that thread, something I do not know how to do easily The 2 CZ 550 FSs in the photo are 9.3 as mentioned and the one in the fore ground is a 7X64, a couple classic European cartridges in a couple classic European full stock rifles.
My full stock selection is now up to 8 rifles, the 2 CZs, 2 Rem mod 7 MS in 7-08 and 350 RM, 3 Ruger 77 RSIs in 243, 250-3000 and 308 and the latest addition is a Sako AV full stock carbine in 308. Sorry no pics of the Sako.

Haven't decided on a scope for the 350 yet, thinking maybe a 1.5-6 or maybe a 2-7 or possibly a fixed 4 or 6............just can't decide..........

I wonder what it would cost to have one about 16 X 24" made up for a gift for Ted?

Actually though, Ted now uses and prefers Marshal's bullets (Matrix) in his 9.3s, I know he used a Matrix on that Grizzly he took in the other photo.

FREE!

Send me a high resolution image and it can be done. Seriously. I work in the industry and have access to the equipment and materials.

Although, I can not use that same image above as it will pixilate when scaled up. I will have to rework the artwork. I usually charge $70 an hour. But I will do it for free.

I've been doing a little soul searching lately. Considering my age, what I have available and how much field use they'll get, I was 'thinking' the Zastava I have coming in 'might' be my last rifle.
After looking at your photos, and pardon the drool,;) I think you've stimulated me to reconsider that plan:p. ;)While my intentions were good, my will is weak:redface:.
When the deal I had going on the 1st Zastava fell through, a gentleman on site from the BC lower mainland offered to let me try out his CZ 550FS in 9.3x62. I was thinking of going for a little better level of quality but with 'all' I spent on acquisitions last year, I'll start with the Zastava. Four more working days 'til
it's arrival.
Again, my compliaments on some very nice rifles and some nice wood on the two CZs pictured previously.

Outstanding BM, but I have no idea how to get you a proper image for the artwork......I would also like it to say "360 Wagner" and the bullet description to say "286 grain Matrix Bonded Bullet" is this remotely possible?

Can be done. All I need is the original scan of the photo

Seriously, that's Ted in the water?

Something like this : ...

360-WAGNER_zps1b55cf6c.jpg

:cool:Well done. Now you're cookin' with gas:). One small question. Just asking, would it be possible to darken or do something to make the "Why not Cartridge Company"
"Whitehorse Yukon, Canada"
a little easier to read?

Or, relocate that lettering segment to the same location or position that it's on in the original photo?

Seriously, that's Ted in the water?

The story I heeered is that Ted's Kaa new dun gotzs itself away and was flowttin down the river.
Ted lassoed up a local mewsie, whispered in it's ear and jumped on it's back.
Steered it into the water and made it swim after the Kaa new.
See how he's gotzs it by the tail and steer'n it?
I'll betcha Ted told that there mewse, eether ya ko-operates or kerpow, vittles.
Yup, the mewse whispererer.

Fack'n awwsum.
