147 is too heavy for an SP01. Go with a 124 or a 130-135 if you can find it.
Really? My Shadow probably doesn't know about that. Let's keep it that way.
Lucky you. Mine chokes on 147 gr lead boolits when I drop down to 130ish PF. I should drop down to an 11# recoil spring and I suspect all would be good.
I actually prefer my 85 Combat over the Shadow as it is lighter but that is a personal thing. Too, ultimately I think a M&P Pro in 9MM might even be a better solution to Production Division, not that the gun has much to do with my mediocre performance.![]()
easy, it is all good points. However, none of the manuals I saw have data for 9mm 147gr TMJ, not to mentioned selection of powders. You have to experiment yourself, but you have to start from somewhere...
hello all,
any suggestion for a 9mm reload for my production cz shadow?
i have 147 mm aim bullets and hodgdon tite group, longshot, international clays and autocomp power.

From last IPSC Ontario Provincials an M&P seem like a good solution if you want to get promoted to Open. The trigger pull is too close to the minimum one.
Not winning in Open Division would differ from not winning in Production how?![]()
With such attitude you may as well stop shooting. But if you want to shoot Open at least get proper equipment for division
I expect with your attitude that you'll be leaving the sport long before the rest of us.
Maybe you should try and remember back when you just did it for fun (if that was ever the case)
I used 147 when I ran an SP01 back in 07 nats. It's too heavy for the gun to react right for me. I hope you have good results with your choice/opinion.
Had to change powder when witched from 124gr to 147gr. But now the felt recoil is much softer, and subjectively, sights are getting back on target faster (i.e. either slower or not as high muzzle flip).
It wasn't. Personally I see no point to participate in competition without competing.

If you must use AIM projectiles, I would suggest titegroup or autocomp.. But next time,, try picking up BDX, Hornady's, or Campro... "AIM"S SUCK" They are all inconsistant in weight and size, you should sort out every piece before you reload...
