$93 LEE ENFIELDS-full wood,original condition

Well
Considering everytime we ship a rifle by courier its at least $70.
I expect those costs are not included in the grand total because they seem considerably deflated to me.

Either way I am very happy with what I would value as a $650 lee enfield. Regardless what the accountants maintain. Mine was on some regimental shooting team. It has been centre bedded and competition tuned just like how the books tell you to do it. Although she has seen at least 20,000 rounds she can still shoot (although she is starting to get tired)......

With this rifle I beat lots of guys running C7A1's and AR15's running tractor beams and optical wire guided missles. However at the end of the day I was uunable to get within the top ten highest scores. I ranked 23rd I think at 206 BCRA service rifle championship. I was the highest score for a bolt action rifle but it was also my first BCRA shoot. I will do better next time. I will be running better gear (my own property). I'm now running an Irish Contract No4Mk2 with PH5C. I have effectively reduced my group by 50% by moving to this rifle - even though she is stock and not match tuned....

In this shot you can see my Ranger Rifle. The bolt knob no longer golds any parkerizing. The rifle is sopping wet but I had properly treated & polished it several times with BLO so my worries with swollen wood was dratically reduced (compared to the other Rangers that were competing). Regardless the rifle moved and re-adjusts to the relative humidity, temperature variations and moisture in the chamber & bore. When the rifle was wet I experienced an 8" rise in vertical POI at 200m. Something to learn from.

:D just the ones living out in the boonies,
Hey how's the snow pack melting :D

Incidentally
At the moment the North Range Coast Mountains are still full of snow. The Skeena Watershed is about 2X the average annual snow pack and we are expectind serious floods by the middle of June.

Time to stock up on at least 2 weeks of fresh water, coleman fuel, propane and canned food.

I am not joking.
Our Patrol is gearing up to assist PEP Incident Commanders. I fear the worst for the Terrace area. We are pretty much guaranteed a flood. I just don't know the extent of it.

Don't worry Laurie you're safe from flooding. But do me a favour and go secure some food and water OK. If you have a BBQ go get some extra propane. Otherwise secure some coleman fuel for your camp stove.

I've been keeping an eye on that, but I'm on TD right now in Hampton VA so its always good to get an eyes on report. :)

I don't know about weapons but when I worked at a surplus store we had lots of
serving reserve and military looking for the cheapest most beat up version of the piece of gear they had lost. They had to pay quite a bit for their gear they lost but if they wore something out or wrecked it they would be issued another no questions asked. I could usually find something that was not good enough to sell
but would serve to get them a new one from stores.

If they charge you 65$ for losing a pair of pants I sure would not want to find out what they would do over a C8.

Yep Yep Yep
I'd start smoking and canning any meat you have in the freezer too bro.
The electricity is going bye bye me thinks when the highways and lower portions of Terrace get washed away in the Skeena Corridor.
I suppose time will tell if I'm paranoid.
As far as I can tell - it dosen't run in the family.
However I have always wanted to know what it would be like to land a Spring Salmon from my roof. That chimney would make a great rod holder.
