9mm big enough?

Same caliber, almost the same mass of the bullet. Which one will do more damage?

Hmmm... Energy is equal to mass times the speed of light squared... not sure I follow you there...?

I did my IPSC black badge and my first season of IPSC with a 10mm... Switched to 40 for cost reasons... 10mm is much more expensive.

After I did that I found my times were faster and my scores better because I could shoot faster AND more accurately with 40 than 10.

Some nice photoshop work :)

Still, I'm so intregued by 10mm. Anyone around Cold Lake/Bonnyville own one? I'd love to try before I buy. Sounds like a GREAT zombie stopper, and we only have a few days left before the mayan zombie apocalypse.

Wrong formula - we're talking classic mechanic, not relativity.
And not the OP's question.
And i have seen through-and-through with 5.56 with the BG still shooting back with 4 holes in his body.

This would bring me to the question of architecture. 5.56/.223 ballistic tips would ruin the BG. Hollow point 9mm will do more soft tissue damage than .45 ACP ball. HP or BT ammo are not standard military issue so the point is moot. As for us Canadians caliber preference is generally dictated by accuracy, comfort and what competitive class you are shooting in. I prefer .45 ACP for steel knock-down targets.

These examples should support my opinions.

The first victim was shot with a P220, using 6 rounds of S+B .45ACP 230gr. FMJ. S+B is loaded hot and considered to be milspec.

Our second contestant is wearing 10 rounds of Remington Golden Saber 9mm 124gr. +P hollowpoint from a PPQ.

The veggies were shot at ten yards, then given an uncerimonious burial. At least next year I won't have to transport any pumpkins.
