I've been thinking of getting a Browning Mark III Hi Power in 9mm but then ran across some information on a conversion barrel that Barsto sells. It is a 9mm match barrel with three lugs and is made to fit the .40 gun. This would allow a multi caliber pistol with the slightly heavier slide and extra lug of the .40 HP for increased durability. Conversion parts would be the barrel, recoil spring and magazines. The frames are identical for both calibers.
Anybody try one of these? Any recommendations on a good BHP smith in Canada as I have never attempted to fit a barrel?
This may also be a fix to a non-existant problem!
