9mm Flobert Garden Gun

$199.95/250 from one of the CGN sponsoring dealers. With tax and delivery, about a buck a shot.

There is something about these Guns that are so ###XIE AS i SAID I HAVE A ne>410, tHEY ARE SO LIGHT NO RECOIL AND THEY ARE DIF THEN A 22L IN MY MIND>yOURS?

So Boys?> Should I buy it??>> Would You??
I have one, but only recently did a test shoot with it.

It's an oddity, super niche and very limited application. Gun prices reflect that, as does the fact that nobody has probably made guns in 9mm Flobert for decades and ammo is pricey/hard to find.

I have #8 (about a 2' spread @ 20 yards) but the ball ammo is a different story. Almost punched through both sides of an empty/blue propane torch cylinder. Lots of oomph but at the price, there are numerous other calibers that will do it better for less.

If you're bored and/or want a fairly weak gun that uses caviar-priced ammo, you'll probably like 9mm Flobert. I've yet to try it on any pests, but will take it the next time I'm in a barn with pigeons. Ball ammo has some authority, but it's only ball ammo and I think far less superior than something like 22WMR. I'll also add, neither option ejects well from mine but the brass shell/shot will. The ball ammo=another story. You need a tool to pry-out the casing, it expands/jams so severely.

9mm Flobert would be better for vermin control around the garden/yard than a .22 shotshell.
With a 24" barrel it is quieter then a 22 cal high powered airgun. I use mine all of the time for pests without concern of riccochets and bullets leaving my property.

i have one, use it inside the quansets for pidgion and sparrow. you do have to be prity close
#8 shot on gophers/squirrels out to 15 yards usually gets them fairly consistantly. Any further out then that and it's not worth taking the shot. Using anything larger for shot seems to thin out the pattern too much and using anything smaller just seems to not provide much energy past 5 yards.

I just bought one.

Soooooo coool.

I didnt buy it to shoot cheap. I have many 22’s for that.
I bought it to shoot cool.

Its on its way.

No #8 shot hard to get.

Might have to wait.

I found one >cheap but the ammo is not anyone have one??>> Enjoy

At the moment the distributor North Sylva has some stock of some single projectile 9mm Flobert. IDK whether they might or might not have any shotshells, but they do have some single projectile 9mm Flobert.

If you want cheap, though, you might prefer a pellet gun.

I got my FLOBERT and my #8 FLOBERT shot ammo.
Just got a chance to shoot it yesterday.

Annihilated a beer can at 10 yards, and put about 12-15 pellets into another at 22 yards.
So much fun and I'm really looking forward to this being my grouse gun going forward.

I have ball ammo coming later today and that may become my rabbit and "long Range" grouse load.

I'm already starting to covet a 6mm Flobert, lol

where did you find the #8 shot cartridges?

A trick if you want bigger shot is to pop the over shot card out and swap the shot for equal weight in bigger sizes. I load #4 #6 #7.5 and #8. Just replace the over shot card tightly and glue in place if need be. A drywall screw extracts the over shot card well
The round balls have quiet the punch but lack accuracy
They're a fun lil gun. I'd like a cape style gun with a 22lr or 22mag next to it.
Good companion while deer hunting to kill those pesky squirrels without making too much noise
