city hunter said:which one is more powerful 9MM or .357 magnum?is it legal to buy and own bullet proof vest & hand cuffs in Canada by civilian ? thanks!!!
troutseeker said:What are you really asking, city hunter? Or what are you planning, there is not much game to hunt in the city and we certainly don't live in a war zone (even in :Wally"). I see bullet proof vests on sale in the equipment exchange all the time. Not illegal but for what purpose would you want one? I would personally like to see moderators stop these sales...

By your logic no one should ever need a ski mask or gloves either. Time to grow up and stop being so paranoid. Those with ill intentions will always be the ones who use the good will of others to tarnish the image of everyday items. By "restricting or prohibiting" these items from the masses we only victimize ourselves. Seeing as how BA is a PASSIVE device and not an ACTIVE device, I see no harm in ownership. Perhaps someone might want to shoot one for testing purposes. Maybe as a movie prop. Maybe someone wants one for protection from possible gang shootings. I can see how stopping the ownership of a personal defence measure is a priority over gang violence. Then again, there's probably a lot of stuff in the hands of citizens that would blow your mind. Either way there are far more important things to worry about.

The 9mm will never meet or beat the 357. The case capacity alone should be all the evidence you need to make an educated guess. Not to mention the difference in the names, 9mm Luger, Para, Nato(9x19mm) Vs .357 MAGNUM.
