Left side of above stages. We shot the poppers and the teeny little yellow steel targets on top of the 2x4 stands. We left the IPSC targets up as distractors.

You can see Setanta and KiwiMatt kicking my butt in this footage! August was a different story as Setanta was a no show and Matt had the technical troubles, not me.

shootin the .22 on the 30 second timer was a hoot Gothmog.... I'm gonna pic up a new .22 and add these events to my MUST do list.

We should have match dates available this week. I'm just sorting out potential conlicts in the schedule at this stage.

Anyone who would like to be kept up to date on matches via email should join the Tactical Rifle Google Group listed as a link at the bottom of my signature line. All the events I run will be announced there, and updates via group email occur if you select that option.

Have you checked the TR Google Group yet?

It should be viewable without joining. Take a look at the Tac Rifle rules Pages. We basically run Action22 the same way, except for the fact that the stages are all steel and it has a slightly different scoring system. Scoring for A22 is the total of targets knocked down during a set time for a stage.

Old farts and other assorted newbs are welcome to attend a match and watch .... as long as you bring a 22 along so that once you realize its not all that difficult and lots of fun to boot, you can join in. :dancingbanana:

The other thing to do is to keep an eye open for announcements of a TRP (Tactical Rifle Practice) where beginners can try either sport out without the possible concerns about placement and scoring. We just ran a TRP this past weekend and everyone who tried out the 22 portion was enthusiastic in their reaction to it.

Action 22 dates this year are:

July 6; Aug 3; Oct 19

We set up in the morning of the match and start at 1:00pm. Registration is from 12:30 to 1:00.

Fees are $20 and everyone is expected to help with clean up afterwards.

Matches are held at TMSA in Pitt Meadows B.C.
