A light rifle....

Awaiting patiently :)

Patience is a virtue, like i always say to my kids (and grandkids), in life there are the ones that wait all the time for it to happen and there are the ones that make it happens, when it's time... Cheers... JP.

Bathroom scale WTF? All that cash tied up in guns no money left for a decent scale?

??? Spending money on a scale wouldn't exactly improve the rifle's or the shooter's performance would it ? I don't see the point, Unless it were a reloading scale. If we need to know with certainty how much other peoples rifles weigh, down to the milligram perhaps we need a new forum we can call it canadianscalenutz.com.

Now I'm going to have my morning coffee and start being nice for the day.

Man it's so silly here sometimes, any scale will do, to show that this hunting rifle is close to 6.5 pounds all dress... That all... JP.

That is a nice light set up Caramel.
My dad had a Rem Model 7 Featherweight in .308. It put lots of deer meat on our table.
Hopefully your rifle does the same for you.

Nice setup, can't wait to see some range results.

Question, the ultra-light scope specs state a short eye relief, do you find that to be so? I've looked at them in the past but have been leery I might take one in the eyebrow, as I tend to be a stock crawler.

Normal eye relief 3.6 inch, it only weight 8.4 ounces, the perfect scope for a 5 pounds 4 ounces rifle... JP.

hmmm, the leupold website shows it having a 3.1" eye relief on high magnification?
3.1 @ 9x... 3.6 @7x... 4 @ 3x... I never use any of my scope on full magnification, in case you get surprised by a running deer or moose... 6X is about right for 0 to 250 yards, my scope is far, i have to lean into it for total view, even at a full 9X, i would not get a cut eyebrow... JP. Jp.

I'm putting an old but very sharp Weaver K6 on mine for load testing.
It sort of takes away from the lightweight theme by a few ounces but it has miles of eye relief and beautiful clarity for the distances which I hunt.
It has over a few decades helped me put a lot of meat in the freezer sitting on several different rifles.
My 700 Ti has worn a 3X9 Ultralight for 5 seasons and despite the shorter eye relief is a fine scope...

What happened?
