A new barrel burner is created

Just for interests' sake, how does it compare in case capacity to A Square's 300 Pegasus? - dan

Don't know about the Pegaus but this casing will hold 122 grains of powder.
So far best load seems to be 117.5 gr of US869. I had it out this weekend and got some really good groups, now IF I had only remebered to take the chronograph.......

After spending another day at the range with it, it has been dubbed the "300 AWESOME"

Thanks to Dale at Chinchaga bullets for supplying some of his excellent 226 Gr ULDs, they saw velocity of 3465 FPS today resulting in a .2 MOA 5 shot group.
Those of us shooting it today all agree that after shooting 338 LAI for some time that the recoil impulse is much quicker in the necked down casing. The brake makes recoil very mild, but you KNOW you are shooting something really fast. Shooting steel in interesting too as the bullet hits the gong and you hear it instantly with steel at 350 yards. The pyrotechnics of the aluminum tip in the Chinchaga bullets when it strikes the steel at that velocity is impresive too.
