A Poll: Who here processes their own game?

We do it all.
Shoot, clean, skin, cut, wrap and freeze.
Amazing how much more meat we end up with.
But I'm sure nothing went out the backdoor when we took things to a butcher.
All just a coincidence, I'm sure.
The deer and moose have just got meatier.

LOL been there! 120lb whitetail and the butcher gives me 33 lbs of meat????

I do my own now. It's not that hard once you do a couple. I enjoy the butchering as my Dad comes over to help me and we get to spend some quality time together. :)
 
Had a similar occurance with a couple of moose.
That was the tipping point for us.
We make our butchering a "family" thing with the hunters and our wives helping in the cutting and wrapping etc.
Our wives have become good friends outside our hunting thing, thus my reference to "family".
