Nov 11th is about remember those who sacrificed, so you at Home could have freedom. Not Justin Trudeau taking our guns. Justin Trudeau HAS nothing to do with this, Because I highly doubt hes doing to send citizens into box cars. So again, leave politics out of it.
You know nothing of history and I doubt that you ever wore the uniform. It's ALL about politics!
"All political power comes from the barrel of a gun." Chairman Mao Tse Tung
Just think on this .... thousands of war souvenir pistols were brought back by vets after defeating the Nazis. Most Canadians cannot own such guns today unless they were "grandfathered".
So, souvenir guns from the defeat of a totalitarian regime have been prohibited by another totalitarian regime. Why? What good purpose has been served? "Public safety"? "Peace, order and good government"?
Why does a government want to disarm a peaceful citizenry?
I had the privilege of serving with and knowing several vets who were there. None of them thought they would see the day when they would need the government's permission to own the guns they grew up with and be regarded as criminals because they owned war souvenirs.
Next on the list are the "black guns" because they look evil, not because they have been used in any heinous crimes in Canada. What's next? All semi-autos and pumps? "Sniper" rifles? ALL handguns?
Look at the UK, Australia and now New Zealand. When a government tells you that you don't "need" guns - then you really need them! A government that does not trust it's people to be armed is not a government worthy of trust by the people.
Foreign Affairs Minister Lloyd Axworthy, Senator Sharon Carstairs and Justice Minister Alan Rock (all Liberals) publicly declared that "gun control" had nothing to do with public safety and EVERYTHING to do with rendering Canada a gun-less society within a few generations.
It has EVERYTHING to do with politics. JT laying a wreath commemorating our war dead is a travesty, national embarrassment.
