A special rifle

mine is 5.2lbs on my scale in 7mm mag.
It balances very nice, and holds fantastic.
I ran 16 rounds out of her on the weekend with my old load from my previous 7mm, and it shoots fantastic, 1/2 groups. not bad for a light weight rifle.
Shall do some more shooting this weekend.

I would pick a rifle that seemed special to me, for about $2000, and spend the remainder on ammunition.

Your mileage may vary.

Sounds excellent to me. It's as light as my kimber 84L mountain ascent. The nice thing about a lightweight rifle is you can invest some weight into a high power scope and still have a lightweight rig for long range shooting. Good shooting btw.

So I finally had a bit of time to do some load development with this rifle, as 65gr of IMR7828SSC seemed to have zero pressure signs from my last 7mm mag, that I tried out in this gun, I thought I would give it a go.
Berger 168GR VLD Hunting.
65Gr IMR7828SSC, followed the Berger manual on adjusting seating depth to find what works in your gun, and wow. .010 off lands= 2"group .040 off lands 1.25"group .070 off lands 1/2group .120 off lands 3/4" group. Could not believe that there was that big of a difference in just moving around the seating depth.
Really happy how this gun shoots, and handles.
Can't wait till November to give it a good work out. Hopefully put some meat in the freezer
