And lets not forget my personal favorite the 13 9mm rounds legally in a .40 S&W magazine.
What does that fit? The M&P 9mm?

Doesn't a 5 round 50 beowulf mag fit 20ish 223, someone needs to design a 5 round Beowulf mag that will feed 20 rounds of 223 reliably!
Rifle magazines are limited to five rounds, and pistol magazines are limited to ten rounds
Correction. Only semi-auto centerfire rifle mags are limited to 5 rounds. The 'normal' rifle magazine limit is 'unlimited'.
Hehe... I'm not suggesting this is a good idea...
I, like everyone, am annoyed by the requirement to have my beautiful SKS bastardized with a magazine plug.
So I'm trying to highlight the ineffectiveness, and foolishness of this requirement.
What I'd really like to try to do is get an XCR pistol mag to work with the SKS. A buddy of mine is going to lend me one so I can investigate that possibility. He uses them in his CZ858 with an adapter. It may not be feasible, but I won't know that until I get the magazine in my hands. I have the resources to fabricate just about anything, so if I have to make an adapter, I will. (I have access to a lathe, milling machine, tig welder, and lots of experience with fabricating stuff, particularly out of titanium. I'm a millwright).

True, I keep forgetting that. However, other than the Lee Enfield, can you think of any centerfire non-autoloading rifle that has a detachable magazine that will hold more than five rounds?
I am trying to think of one, but I can't. If they don't sell it, then it doesn't matter if it would theoretically be legal.
Well if your not suggesting this is a good idea.....then don't suggest it at all.
Some things are better left unsaid.

The fact that a long rifle mag can normally hold any number of cartirdges is important because it highlights the fact that the semi-auto centerfire exception is an abnormality, and not 'the norm'.
Wow, the amount of fear here is astonishing
The guy who can design and build bottom metal for an SKS to hold xcr pistol mags will be rich. The market will find him.
bonus points if we can still use the clip...
Well they must already be a device.. Every time I go to the range I hear someone that has an SKS with that device.... Some people are just lucky I guess...
wow people. Some of you need to read this, NOW. Especially the last part.

Something interesting occured to me though. Do these magazines disassemble at all? In other words, do I have to use the ENTIRE magazine?
