My reloading manual is a 2003 edition, so maybe some newer powders get 3150 with a 150gr bullet in 270 WSM, but only one powder gets 3100 in my manual, and all the rest top at 3000. So if we are comparing SAAMI spec pressures, I'd say the difference bewteen 270 Win and 270WSM with a 300 yard zero, is 0.7 inch at 400 yards. I wouldn't lose any friends attacking their 270 Win for velocity sake, or suggest one would have more lethality at range because of that wee smidge extra velocity. Just me. Either one will do it, and neither will if the planets are not in proper alignment, or the wind is anything other than what you guessed it as, because at 400 yards in the woods without flags, it is only a guess.
