Well this course showed me that I wasnt as good as I expected. And that training is very important. Cant wait for the next one.

ACR ran like a champ not a single malfunction. as well as the P320.

I did use dummy rounds in my mags to get more out of the training.

It was a pleasure to finally meet CobraGt and Still Alive cant wait to shoot with you guys again.

I had lots of fun - met a lot of good dudes/gun nuts. Much like dilligaf mentioned, I didn't do as well as I thought I would. This course was also a good chance to see what works and doesn't work kit-wise. The XCR ran well with no hiccups so there was no need to bring out the vz backup.

Looking forward to the DTSO course.

Awesome to meet a bunch of CGNers at the course!

When a guy running a 5rd VZ can impress a JTF instructor, you know the dude’s good!!
#DaveMachine, you were selected to the “Tier One” group! You were better than you think!
#DILLIGAF, you run some awesome gun and gear!!

Thanks to Abby ATS and Claude for hosting. And best of luck to you guys doing the dismounted course next week! Hope the weather cooperates!

I thought it was a good foundation course with a lot of upsides. The course syllabus is pretty ambitious with movement and shooting but then there were enough instructors on the range to keep a pretty close eye on things.

I personally haven't really done any structured shooting outside of contact distance shooting in a grappling environment in about three years and wasn't sure if I could still hang with anyone who does. For sure I could tell that my pure shooting skills have decreased but I kept it mostly together, with a couple of really dumb exceptions. The big thing I noticed is that while my accuracy hasn't fallen off (because I still shoot groups regularly) I feel like I am now doing stoppage drills in slow motion, because I probably haven't cleared a stoppage in five years. Or reloaded an AR on the clock.

Anyway looking forward to next week. Hopefully this weekend will have kickstarted my brain on some of those rusted out skulls and I'll be able to get myself in gear a little quicker.

Great course, great instructors. My ####ty cheap reloaded (pistol) and steel-cased (rifle) ammo helped give me some opportunities to clear some bad stoppages, which made it that much more realistic!! Looking forward to the next course. I definitely shook off a lot of cobwebs, and learned a lot. It was great meeting the guys from here - looking forward to shooting with you all again. Some really skilled guys on this course... I was just happy to keep up. I definitely need to work on my reloads and stoppage drills.

...oh, and I really need to work on remembering not to leave a guy on the end to die alone when I peel off to cover. Sorry smellypete!! LAST MAN!!!

We could drop off some mags for you guys to run this weekend if you like? PM this account if interested...

I ran two of your mags for the full day yesterday. They ran 100%. Let me know when they are available for purchase. As the baseplates click together, I'd also like to see extensions that could be clicked onto the bottom of a mag in place of a second mag, to make up standard 30-rd length for pouches without a second mag.
