Abby Multi-Weapon Operations whos going ?

#DILLIGAF, you run some awesome gun and gear!!

Now I just need to learn how to shoot better and not have a safety infraction when im on the line next to you...

I think I need to spend more time training instead of taking picture of my gear. #nomoremallninja

This course was a big eye opener for me. I had a big piece of humble pie this weekend and Im glad I did.

Except your sling apparently! LOL

Anyone else get any good photos?

Would have been nice if we got a group shot with all the gear on but you know how the secret squirrels feel about that!
Yeah, it was sort of funny when the rifle just fell off me during that transition! Good thing it was empty! Even Magpul MS3s can fail!

Live and learn buddy. You never did it again and was super safe after. Would shoot with you on the line anytime!

I second that - you were smooth the rest of the day, probably more so than I was. Definitely happy to have you at my back.

Start wearing them now, it'll help avoid a lot of issues later ;). Find ones that work for you. I went through a ton of different pads, and ended up with arcteryx kneecaps. Low profile, comfortable, and they mostly stay where you put them.

After 15 years of hard labor on the rigs and ten welding I'm stuck wear knee pads all day. I found volleyball pads work great for me. No way can I take a knee with out them.

Im also looking forward to shooting with you guys again. already trying to find another course that I can register for.

Props to everyone for training through the rain. No one complained, no one bailed.

Watching Denis run that Vz was awesome, reloads right out of a Travis Haley video.

Kudos to Chris for carrying on after losing most of his gear to an unfortunate accident.

While we love to shoot, I think we don't do nearly enough first aid or tac-med, which was a really great addition to course work.

Nice to meet y'all, see you this week end.

I was actually dreading having to sit through a medical class. But I must say it was the best part of the course.

If they ever offer a medical class I will attend for sure. The instructor knew his ch!t and was excellent.

Yeah I think that is a really good concept: battlefield medicine as step one of shooting for real. Exposing people to that and training them to cope is really smart and it's a huge value-added component to the course IMO.

The only downside is that I have an impressive amount of bruising on my limbs now from forcefully applying tourniquets to myself on Friday. My left leg has an almost perfect ring all the way around. On the other hand, at least I know I don't have a problem putting a tourniquet on myself sufficiently tight to make it work.

So where are all the pictures?

And for those of you who might have missed it: my "awesome" Tyr rig release handle didn't work when I pulled it on Sunday night. That's not the type of thing you want to find out when you are on fire or drowning.

I saw that! Never knew armor plate carriers came with a QD!
The reason no one complained about the rain the first day was because your kind wife brought us Timmies! And your MREs smelled darn good too!

I asked if we could get the pictures emailed but was told Caliber mag and Veritac have to vet them first.

I was just starting to think this middle of nowhere town was alright, then I read this thread and realized I need to go somewhere I can go out and shoot with like minded individuals. Can’t wait to do my time out here and get promoted to a bigger center so I can shoot in the rain. Sounds like you guys learned a lot and had fun doing it, thanks for sharing!

Veritac will be offering more and varied courses as their training component grows. It’s a short flight out here. There’s an airport at Abbotsford that West Jet flies into. Treat yourself and come out for a course! You won’t regret good training.

Might be able to do that if I can save costs, anyone have a yard my tent can go in over the weekend? Haha maybe I’ll make it out next year, if oil stays this low I’ll have plenty of free time. I definitely enjoy any type of training.
