Define "mid-range". Here in the western / southern part of "The Shield", mid-range would be defined as 50 yards, as most game is taken at 25-75 yards, as past 75 yards, you cannot seen into the black spruce / cedar swamps.

Depends on your rifle; does your rifle like BT bullets?
BUT, in any event, they ain't a Berger/Lapua/Sierra target bullet. They were designed for white-tail deer hunting.
However, if your rifle cannot differentiate between quality target bullets & "normal" hunting bullets, with respect to accuracy, does it really matter?
For hunting hereabouts, a flat base, round-nose soft-point bullet, from pretty well ANY suitable calibre, has always done the trick.
