Hi,
I'm new to hunting and not very knowledgeable about acquiring deer tags. I haven't applied to any draws for deer this year, is there any region for which I could just go and purchase a tag without a draw?
Cheers.
You get one buck tag, valid for any general season in any wmu, when you buy your license.
Here is a list of places you can buy your license.

I am automatically eligible for a buck tag when I get which license?
Thanks
When you buy your 2012 Deer License, the buck tag comes with it (or in the mail).
just curious, but do you have a hunting license?

so you've done a hunter's course but dont know how to get a tag?
Im in the Kingston area. Do you think there might be any left there?
I knew about the draws but i wasnt aware that i was entitled to one when i buy the deer license. Anyway I came here to get better informed and not to be lectured by a tool such as youreself.
lectured? this just shows who the tool is
no i would agree with exidous also...
i've taken the course also, and wasn't told how to get tags other than "apply for the draws".

Like others have said - get yourself a copy of the 2012 MNR regs and give them a read. It explains alot of the details involved in acquiring your tags, along with general hunting regulations. You can download a PDF from their website, or goto a outdoor store that sells licences (Canadian Tire - LeBaron - Sail) etc and grab a hard copy - they usually have them.
