ACR Media and Info Thread

So I traded for a BNIB Geissele SD-E for my ACR, and I tried installing it but I am running into some trouble.

To describe my issues, the trigger is fully installed the way it should be, the hammer locks in to the disconnector but does not engage the sear because the bow can not travel all the way forward to where it should sit. You can see that the bow is slightly rearward in this photo:

I have found this is because the roll pin for the trigger reset spring is in the way of the top-front of the bow which is shaped larger (longer) at the top forward part then the bow it is replacing.

So my thoughts are that if I could file down the bow some more so it gave some more forward travel to allow proper trigger reset and sear engagement I should be golden. Any danger I should consider with doing some filing there?

Here is the area that could do with some filing:

Still looking

The parent FRT number for the Bushmaster BACR (proper name) is 133580. There are however 15 child entries to break down each calibre and barrel length option that has been reported to the lab for documentation.

133580-10 represents the 223 version with 470mm barrel. Non restricted.

133580-7 represents the 478mm barrel version in 223. Also NR.

The rest are other calibre and barrel length versions.

I just got a couple bolt cam pins in the mail from Gravel Agency the other day that will used to round out an ACR parts kit. They've been backordered since maybe Jan 2015, haha.

My buddy using his ACR at a recent 3gun match.

wouldn't it be safer to file the roll pin? i mean if you have to modify, modify the cheaper part which is a 5$ roll pin. Dremel the rollpin so that it allows a bit of clearence

Can't. Any modification to the pin will result in the trigger reset spring legs sliding off of the roll pin, they are barely there as is already.

A week ago I followed my gut after aquiring some knowledge from some of the guys at RDSC and filed the trigger bow as I described. It now clears and functions flawlessly. :)

Really? I filed the middle part of the roll pin and left the outer part of the roll pin and the trigger spring stayed in fine. I guess my roll pin is different than yours

Looks like it, but I don't recall any complaints about brass in the face?

Wish I had known you were there just to say hi,especially since I was supposed to be on your squad. Does he have the extended airsoft handguard or is the the factory basic hanguard, it's hard to tell?

Is anyone else with a conversion barrel having gas come out from the gas block onto the barrel or is it just me?

Shot my ACR at the last PRS match I went to
