If you purchase the ACR DMR version what parts do you need to swap out that ugly stock and put on the skeleton stock or classic acr stock? Any adapters needed?

Nope. Acr stock's lower 1/2 just slides into the lower's grooves vertically, then is pinned in place via take down pin. The upper then like an AR hinges on a second pin infront of the magwell. Once hinged closed over the top half of the ACR stock, the upper can be pinned with the remaining 3rd take down pin to the top half of the stock creating a three way marriage of stock, lower, and upper.

One can find the enhanced folding stock on Gravel's site for $267cad.

Interesting. The DMR is absolutely an eye sore with that ugly stock. Must weigh a ton too.

The railed handguard is the worst thing about the DMR and the regular enhanced models. No idea what anyone would need that much rail space for.
The PRS stock on the DMR version isn't the best looking but it is a popular stock choice for a lot of guys with precision builds.

Agreed. The design is a throwback to where AR15 rail systems were 5 years ago. An MLOK version of the Magpul polymer ACR handguard would be slick.

I have an MOE rail section that will mount up to my factory polymer forend, the heat shield makes it a pain to install but it works fine and was super cheap.

Since mine is more of a Precision build I was thinking of picking up a Prs stock for it. I just wish they made them in tan so it would match.

I've seen them on the EE before (black only), I wonder if you had a PRS for the ACR and another standard AR one in FDE if you could mix and match to get the FDE one to mount then sell off the remainder if you didn't have a use for it.

From what I can tell the PRS on the ACR is quite different from the standard Magpul PRS stock. I don't think there would be more than a few parts that are interchangeable. Cerakoting it is probably the best way to get a color match.

Cerakote would be a much cheaper, better looking alternative.

Price wouldn't be much different if you sold off the black one after you swap the ACR mount to it (if possible).
Problem with cerakote on a stock is that you're always touching it with your cheek in the same spot and even though it's a really tough coating it will still eventually wear through, I know flippin and he shoots a lot so I doubt it would last a season before needing to be repainted.

Unfortunately I've never owned a PRS (never been a fan of them) and I've only handled a couple DMR models and never looked that close at the stock, only noted that it wasn't as heavy as I was expecting and that I prefer my standard enhanced FDE model to the DMR.

So if I had a 5.56 ACR and wanted to shoot 7.62x39 or 300blk out of it how much would it cost me, all things considered?
300Blk will be the cheapest since you just need the barrel and can utilize the same BCG. Problem is that 300Blk ammunition is expensive and you'll need to run the supersonic stuff. A rough estimate is probably under $1k for the new barrel, cannibalizing the gas assembly and ratchet and testing (best guess).

The ACR PRS stock is literally a PRS style ACR stock. Meaning it has the same adjustments as a AR PRS, but it is cast to the ACR design same as an ACR enhanced or basic stock.

At best you could swap the cheek piece and buttpad? :p

I built a NR 300BLK conversion for mine and the barrel cost me about $500 from my friend who cut, chambered, and profiled it for me. I built it with a carbine length gas system and shortened the op rod I use with that barrel. I also omitted the op rod guide on my conversion. It's a pretty simple conversion if you have someone who can prep the barrel for you and you have some mechanical skills.
My 300BLK conversion will reliably shoot my supersonic and subsonic handloads and one of my 155gr supersonic loads will shoot pretty consistently around 0.9 moa.
For a x39 conversion you'll have to call Ian and Herron Arms and ask for a quote but I wouldn't bother unless you're willing to spend the extra money to run non corrosive and you have no versatility like you do with 300BLK. With my 300BLK rifles I can run everything from 110gr up to 220gr and can run supersonic for all weights and I've got subsonic loads from 150gr and up.
