I seriously can't decide what I want. I like the look of both, I've shot the XCR but not the ACR. I'm looking for a smaller caliber rifle to go for Yotes and Deer, already have an RFB and it's great but just to much caliber for medium to smaller game (in my oppinion). I'm looking for oppinions on 'should I get an XCR?' or 'should I hold out and spend a bit more on an ACR?'

Accuracy primarily. Some days the XCR seemed to shoot quite well, some days worse than terrible. My ACR is MUCH more consistent than the 2 XCR's that I have owned.I should add that my ACR has a Questar non restricted barrel. Also some unexplained stoppages with the XCR.

Quality issues, or what?

My RFB is for larger game....But after I saw what it did to a black bear at 100yd I would guess it would turn a yote inside out...I want a smaller calliber. Hornady ammo is quite good in that size...my turn for I lightning strike.

Ah, well - if you like bullpups... may I suggest either the Tavor or FS2000? FS2000 would be my first choice since it's more accurate than the Tavor.

Nahh...Tavor looks to much like an RFB (ducking now), FS will get my A$$ arested before I can prove it's non-res. I love bullpup but already have one, now for a bit of variety.

I have the acr w/ questar barrel, love it! I've handled and shot an XCR, its nice that its unrestricted from factory but I definitely preferred my ACR, fit and finish is phenomenal. My buddy with his XCR who swapped rifles with me also commented on how well the ACR shoots, and I did take jabs at him having a bottle of loctite in his range kit.

Without owning an ACR my vote goes to it. I have had an xcr and couldn't get rid of it fast enough. I can't see to much of an issue for someone with a bit of enginuitty to rebarrel/adapt an ACR for 6.5,6.8,300Wisp....etc...
