Acr parts

450 bushmaster does not use the 7.62x39 bolt, and you cant just machine out the 223 bolt to its size doesnt work, a. theres not enough material, and b...that ones a secret

email from bushmaster to my local dealer, rifles have already been ordered and that is when they ship if there is no US panic buying again, dealers were never able to order the rifles before even though the parts and rifles have been listed and promised for years so it looks promising. If for whatever reason it isn't till fall I will still wait unless prices drop or someone is willing to buy the restricted barrel to offset my costs of the conversion, once the NR version comes out from bushmaster, anyone with a conversion just took an instant loss.

I don't know if I would say it will be a loss. Most of the conversion barrels being used are higher end match grade blanks so the 18.5 conversion should theoretically shoot better than the factory 18.5 inch.
Considering I want mine to shoot as well as my HK SL8 so I can sell it off without missing the accuracy of that rifle I still think the conversion is a better option. As long as you get a good deal on a used ACR anyway.
The way I look at it right now for the deal I got on mine plus the cost of a conversion I'll be into it for $3000 and I'll have a 12.5 inch and 18.5 inch barrel, both stocks, and mine came with the Geissele Super ACR trigger as well (which is awesome).
So for about the cost of a new one I will have 2 barrels, both stocks and the Geissele trigger and I didn't have to wait until sometime maybe this summer to have one. Hopefully they come in fairly large shipments as well because I have a feeling that once they are factory non restricted they are going to sell pretty fast unless the importer and retailers jack up the price.

I picked it up last night and am very happy. That trigger is awesome. Played around with it in the living room for about half an hour taking it apart and putting it back together. Can't wait to shoot it.
I didn't snap any pictures yet but I'll post some once I have time.

Here's one supplied by the previous owner.

I put my Elcan Specter DR on it for now and will decide later what it will get permanently.

New restricted ACR from Irunguns is $2100, used ones should be in the $15-$1800 range max for a low round count one, Dlask NR conversion is $500.

Buying a new one in canada for 3k or used off the EE for 22-2500 and then converting is not really saving anything IMO

The long barrel ACR will be sold in the US as well, marketed as a "sniper" version (possible heavy or match barrel? who knows)

If current pricing is any indication, I will buy from Irunguns when it comes out.

Did we ever clarify if that Dlask barrel for $500 came with the gas system? If it is a complete ready to drop in kit then that is a great deal.

Since it is just an AR barrel with a cutout for the rod guide and a smaller gas port hole that barrel should be around $300 stripped.

I tried asking Dlask for details here and by email but no reply so far so idk.
The picture shows only the stripped barrel, I agree with you that price should be closer to their stripped AR barrel if that's the case... But this is pretty much the only offering so they can sell them for more.

and btw, if you find a ACR for 1500-1800$ you're a very lucky man, you do realize this is 1000$ less than retail up here right?

If that is for a stripped barrel then lets be strong and not buy them until they lower the price to something closer to what an AR barrel costs.
Would be nice to know what barrel blank they started with though, maybe it is worth more but not if it was just some generic blank they cut the op rod guide notch into. Hopefully the gas port is correctly sized as well.

since we have the ability to buy them new from the US for 2100 without any fees, local prices should start to adjust no?

No, they will be stubborn and hold out for as long as possible. I got a quote from a dealer in Edmonton just before I bought mine for $2500 for the basic with folder. Almost bought it but glad I held out and found my 12.5 inch for a couple hundred less.

They will just rape us somewhere else if they do have to lower their prices :p

I see the enhenced at 2500$ and basic at 2320$ on irunguns... But I know what you mean, were still far from 1500$ used ACR I think tho

Quoting the IRG price was how I got them down to $2500 for the basic with folder. IRG must have lowered the price again in the last week or two.

their week long sale that just ended had them at 2100 and 2300, sales come and go and prices will lower as demand decreases.

That isn't gonna make replacement barrel assemblies all that cheap is it? You could buy an AR for the cost of outfitting a single replacement ACR barrel. :O

You can buy all the AR's you want, let me know how many it takes to find a non restricted one

If we all get together and buy enough parts to do 10 or more barrels I wonder how much that would drop the price.

I need parts to do 2 barrels myself

Getting barrels and having them made for the ACR shouldn't be a huge problem or an overly expensive one. Getting all the parts to complete the gas system is the expensive part.
If you have a restricted ACR and are willing to steal the gas system from it for the new barrel it is a fairly affordable conversion.

No you're looking at around $1000 per assembly by the time your done. That's a pretty crappy ar.
On the flip side, my lmt mws barrels were that much per unit, and I have four of them...

Everyone has different taste.

But at least for XCR, you can get a complete barrel for $550.

I thought the conversion kits for the XCR were $700? Or is $550 just the barrel?
Dlask is selling barrels for $500 but we still don't know if that is complete with gas system or stripped barrel ready for your gas system to be installed. I can't see it being complete as the parts for the gas system are that much by themselves.

I'm still waiting for a reply from them to clarify.
