ACR -VS- COLT DIEMACO -VS- COLT MMR - Whats your choice?

I think DILLIGAF had some "dead platform" patches made up recently, lol!

Yeah, the only reasons I got one was (A) I saw a deal that was just too good to pass up, and (B) I had the option to convert it to NR status, which I did. Otherwise, I probably would have put off getting an ACR until I found myself in the next tax bracket.

The MV or MH? No thanks. Way to rich for my blood. Besides all the points brought up by Epoxy7, that whole stolen valour thing doesn't sit well with me.

I have never personally heard any mention of this (although I have read the rumors here and on other forums) and all I can say is there has been no factual evidence supporting this that I can see. There for I can not in good conscience black list this individual let alone perpetuate the rumors mentioned.

Some staff members (won't be named for obvious reason) have PM'd me indicating that they frequently heard him boasting about his service overseas.

On a personal level, I have no ill feelings about people, who do such things. I feel sorry for them that they have to do make false claims to make themselves feel good. I don't need to be friends with this person so on a personal level, I don't hold any contempt.

On a business level however, that's a different story, and credibility is a concern when it comes to some of the claims he has made over his products.

^^^ this , Google acr torture test.
Acr is proven to be a superior platform.
Personally I've tried an xcr and, Witnessed a few jams and ergonomically didn't like the feel of it. The xcr is not competition or in the same league as the acr

My only hesitation for not purchasing a ACR is the lack of spare parts and custom support from the manufacture.

Thank you for all the info guys.

Googling produced some polarizing opinions on ACR from "stellar" to "another crap rifle".

Besides Remington not being interested in the platform's development, I also found out that there is an ACR derivative from Poland, called MSBS Radon. it has 5.56, 7.62x39 and 7.62x51 variants. it is supposedly a logical development of ACR.

I have had lots of AR experience over the years, and own an ACR as well. The ACR has some cool features, but if restricted isn't an issue, I'd take a quality AR over the ACR any day. Handier, more inherently accurate by virtue of the design, and lighter. The quick caliber/barrel change, trigger-finger bolt release, and charging handle location are all cool, but not enough to make me choose an ACR over an AR.

Havent had any issues getting spare parts for my ACR. and I had no issue getting all the custom parts I wanted either. It was a bit more of a PITA since you have to order from the US but im used to it since thats were I order most of my crap anyways.

The only thing that broke on my ACR was the extractor spring, but they are the same as AR's so threw in a wolf extractor and called it a day.

They will be some Canadian aftermarket handguards available in the near future as well as other cool items ;) hopefully they will make more people want to get into buying this platform.

Either way I still like my Tavor better for now, But with everything Im doing to my ACR that might be changing soon.

"I preffer range shooting so restricted is a non issue, but I also enjoy NR freedom."

If you're looking for the "new favorite", and it's to be "the one and only", you have to decide, R or non.

Then ask your question.

I went non, personal preference, made my choice.
Now I have my new favorite, as well my one and only. Had I chose R, I'd a bought an AR and said the same thing.

Going to add one more to look at. The ADCOR elite A-556, previously the ADCOR bear. The only piston system AR I own. Free floats the FN 249 barrel by the piston being attached to the handguard not the barrel. Piston is fed by a DI like system to the piston. Piston reliability and DI accuracy. It was one of the four to make it to the 2nd stage of the US M4 replacement competition before they cancelled it.

Just did some research... that is a very cool upper. I wasn't familiar with it before your post. Where did you get yours? Complete rifle or just upper? Price? I may look into picking one up, if I can get just the upper.

I have the ACR in NR and in 7.62x39 and 450 Bushmaster. Soon will have Remington 30AR to ad to that caliber list. Just because Remington is not delivering the calibers doesn't mean we can't get it done without them

When I bought mine they were only bringing in the upper. I bought mine from Saskatoon gunworks. The newest versions have the keymod handguard. I actually have no issue with the "old" style one. It works very well for me. The keymod might be a bit easier as you don't need to put any rail panels on near the charging handle with keymod.

Thanks guys, There is some overwhelming support for the ACR I never expected. It looks like It may be my choice, AR's always go on sale for amazing deals so ill keep it for a impluse sale buy in the future.

Just keep in mind all the support for the ACR is mainly because of the NR status.

It's a great gun but will never preform as good as an AR-15 in my opinion or be as customizable

It really depends how much you value the NR part. My Tavor barely gets any use anymore because I only shoot at the range so my AR's get all the attention. However it's great having it simply for the freedom it allows you to take it into the bush or move around with it easily and not have to worry about any sort of STATT.

Like you mentioned, AR's are cheap so you can always pick one up later.

After all:

Mine has been running damn near flawlessly since I bought it. Somewhere between 600-800 rounds.

Personally, mine hasn't choked on a single MFS steel cased round yet. The main reason I picked an XCR over an ACR (other than getting a pretty good deal) is that I don't like supporting groups like Freedom Group buying out classic American manufacturers; Remington in this case.
