Actions with R700 Action Threads

Defiance runs the same threads as an R700 on some of their actions. I have used Remage prefits on Deviants, Anti, and Tenacity models.

Rem 700 action threads are 1.000 OD x 16tpi. Ruger no1 rifles use the same thread diameter and tpi, but different tenon length.

This might help a bit

Stolle - 1"-1/16 x18 tpi with 30 degree cone
Bat -- 1"-1/16 x 18 tpi with 25 degree cone
Stiller --1"-1/16 x 18 tpi with 30 degree cone and some with 14 degree cone
Farley-- 1"-1/16 x 16 tpi with 30 degree cone
Winchester - 1" x16 tpi flat breech
Ruger ---- 1" x 16 tpi flat breech
Nesika-----1"-16 x 18 tpi 30 degree cone
Hall ------- 1" x 16 tpi 25 degree cone
Howa -----1".022 x 1.5 mm- flat breech
Browning A-bolt -- .922 x 20 tpi flat breech
and some have .996 x 32 tpi flat breech
AMT-- 1"-1/16 X 16 TPI with 30 degree cone
Wichita---1"x16 tpi with flat breech
Sherman--1"x14 tpi with double 30/45 degree cone

Thanks bearhunter and Guntech, you guys have been helpful to me and many others over the years!

It does fit a Defiance Anti action that we have and are waiting on a Savage-style barrel nut from JC Custom Barrels.

Regards,

Peter

hey Peter, when you get them Barrels in let us know what calibre and bar length and twist I might be interested in one how long before they come in stock thanks, Roy

PGW M15 1-1/16" 16 TPI, recessed breech identical to R700

PGW Timberwolf/Coyote 1.1625" - 16 TPI 20 degree cone.

Any Browning thread is irrelevant as they all tear out when you pull the barrel.

When I designed the Twolf, I wanted an extra .1" of meat around that fat .338 Lapua case.
That was a good move... that case should never have been made on the old 700 action. Remington should have scaled the 700 action up slightly and produced an action more suitable for the big cases...
