It looks like a hugely tweaked further development of the original AEK that dated back to the Abakan trials of the '90s.
I'd be surprised if this ended up being selected for service over the politically powerful, newly named Kalashnikov Corporation's AK-12.
That sliding stock kind of funky, probably not too comfortable though, I wonder if it has built in mechanical recoil buffering like the Chinese QBS-09 shotgun stock that it resembles?
