They did a run of lights that were one level of brightness, momentary on only. That is the only workable configuration for a WML, IMO. Not sure if they've gone to that for the rest of their lights yet or not, though.

I have lo/hi/strobe on mine depending on how you click it. Double click is strobe

Yeah, they used to all be that way, then they did a run of momentary-only, one-setting ones that you could special order.

That's the only configuration that belongs on a gun, so Not surprisingly there was a flurry of interest after they came out with that model. I read earlier today that they supposedly made the MOOS models available standard but I assume there is a backlog of the old ones lying around before everybody is selling the new ones. They may even continue making the old multiple-setting ones for some purpose, although I can't think of what the application would be.
 
^^I agree with Misanthropist, but it's hard to find a quality MOOS flashlight without spending a fortune. I like the Streamlight TLR-1 for a lower cost option but I don't like how easy it is to inadvertently switch on/off when mounted on a rifle.

The Fenix LD12 is a decent low cost option as the soft key is well away from the on/off/momentary on button. If you position it properly it's relatively hard to inadvertently switch the soft key. It's a decent low cost option but far from perfect.
 
I mounted my Inforce at the 6 o'clock position to double as a forward hand stop it has a simple little swing gate to prevent you from activating the switch by accident, it is light, compact and simple to operate.

BTW if you hold down the switch instead of clicking it works like a momentary switch ;)

I don't want any lights on a gun that can be accidentally switched to constant on.

Having the ability to run it momentarily is generally not enough...I will tolerate the TLR1 only because you have to work the switch in the opposite direction to click it on. And even that is borderline,

One switch, multiple modes, cycling...that is out of the question on a WML.

I would take the Fenix route, unless you can locate a momentary only version.
 
You guys with the Fenix PD32, can you mount the light in a 1" mount? I'm not sure what the diameter is.
 
Get a Surefire G2 or 6P off ebay with VTAC or VLTOR mount. Surefire has lifetime warranties if they bust (except for things like bulbs and switches). Step it up a little bit and get a G2X and get a 200 lumen model!

Or be a boss and get the M600 scout
 
I'm cheap as dirt when it comes to stuff like this... I ordered a 1300 Lumen Cree 5 mode. I have other cheap cree flashlights and they work excellent. I also used the 1" scope ring to attach it hahaha.
