I couldn't agree more, Mossberg is just trying to provide what will sell. I just wish they spent the same amount of energy in designing a bolt that actually stays together...

You nailed it on the head. They are appealing to the masses. Posting this thread in the Hunting and Sporting section means it will just get a laugh out of this; put it on a tactical board and you'll get a different reaction. Also our friends to the south will buy anything tactical looking, especially something like this for their kids. I don't blame Mossberg for trying to profit off morons.

What a weird day! First I see this rifle picture, (I commented on it earlier) then when wife and I are getting groceries there's a guy there wearing high heels, an evening dress, a pretty hat, and 5 o'clock shadow. And it's -35C. Couldn't decide which was ###er looking. I'm serious.

You guys need to visit the rim fire section more often . There's Thompson, AK47'' AR look alikes so why not Mini sniper rifles . but I got to admit I have seen and handled those mossbergs without the break and that stock is skinny and grotesque
 
Maybe its a ploy................wanna be Talibaners will be buying these up and going on the "List".

I see a lot of these being sold "NIB" by guys from major urban centers in about 6 months when they realize they are ghey......
