AIA .308 magazines for a M14

I find it hard to believe there was any stamping error and feel this might be a stall tactic to buy time between sellers and customers. And if this really did happen then having a magazine with an english word screwed up would only add to the Norinco legend. Just like the Norinco instruction manuals have.

Not that I really care too much (I'm fine with the mags I have) but this is all horses#!t. I agree with JasonS. If the originals have no stamping (and NOT legally required to) and the mags are already in-country then what is the issue? The risk of not distributing the mags to buyers and shipping them back to the country of origin is obvious. This will give time for the RCMP to come up with a better stratagy to prohibit the distribution. Come on sheeple! Buying into this lameass excuse for not selling is so transparant. This is a great stall tactic to keep interest. At least I hope I'm right... If not, than the stupidity of shipping the mags back will be worse than the RCMP prohibiting them. We will have our own firearms importers doing the job for them!!!

Now I :nest:

If these riffle magazines cleared through the border, all paperwork in order, CBSA/RCMP approved, the stamping is just irrelevant. Buyers can have a chuckle, the importer and retailers can move the product, future batches can be marked without a spelling error.
Just out of curiosity, did AIA have to approve the use of "AIA" on the magazines?

Couldn't tell you JasonS, I am not the importer, just the company buying them. If you're theory was correct, that make perfect sense, NOT.

I can only concede the importer wants everything perfect for when they come in. Again, I am not the importer, so I cannot comment.

Again, not being the importer, I do not know.

Why was More gun banned ?

Spoke with More Guns Supply this afternoon and he described the situation with the AIA mags. There was no news that can't be found in this thread already.

There was mention of an attempt to shift some of their efforts to making the 10x rounders already in the country available to his customers. If there are any of those 10x rounders out there other than the two you get with the rifles from Marstar, I have no idea where they are. Mind you I am no dealer and don't know anyone in the industry, but I have searched high and low. Contacting AIA directly does not get a response, as I'm sure many of you have tried.

He suggested I join the newsletter or email him anytime for updates, which I did. My gut tells me we are dealing with a product here that could be considered 'unobtainium' but I will keep my fingers crossed and continue to support those who try to get these items to us. I won't be canceling my pre-order and would be first in line for a hand full of the 10x AIA mags.

Regarding killerkanes Banned status, it sounds like we would likely get conflicting reports from either side on that issue, and I didn't press for details. Probably best not to ask more.;)

The importer for these mags is rumoured to be none other than sas**ten, who is also blacklisted from this forum. One has to wonder what scheme he has come up with to find 10 rounders. Perhaps a rework of the 20 round riffle mags into 10 to cut his losses?
