I received an email today informing me my refund would be completed before December 31st.
My order was placed May 9th, 2014.

I received the EMT from tangerine....I completed the transaction with the provided password and was told it would take a day or two to be deposited.

Not according to the email I received from Tangerine ( Scotia bank I think) . And all of the EMT,s I have sent and received only took a few hours but they are not instant.The money is withdrawn from my account instantly when I send them but it always takes at least an hour or two for the other person to receive it. This is the first time I have seen anything mentioned about taking 1-2 bussiness days.

I just had the refund deposited in my account and it took 2 days to clear like the email said it might .
Overall I am sorry the deal fell apart but can understand their position.
I have bought from NRM before (Dark Eagle mag for my Savage) and will continue to shop there in the future .

Got an email on 25 Nov stating that "over the next few weeks" my pre-order will be refunded, but I imagine they could process an order in a day or so.

Nope, not me...My credit card was reimbursed November without any issues.

Me too. Cancelled at the end of October. $339 would go a long way to helping pay for Christmas.

They apologized by email but said all refunds would happen by the end of December, 2014.
