I know this may be off topic a tad, but I figure most milsurp collectors are military history buffs.
Did you guys see last nights episode of Air Aces on the strategic bombing, specifically the Lancasters and the crew of ME669?
Not only was this a beautifully done episode, but the ending. Jeesh! The hairs on the back of my head were standing on end. I had never heard of this story and I was in shock. Even my wife, who is half asleep while she tolerates me watching these shows starting sobbing. These bomber crews had serious BALLS.
If you have not seen it, you should. I won't ruin the ending by telling you what happens. But with men like JACKSON there was no doubt to the outcome of the war. Unstoppable. This is going to be mandatory watching for my nephews this year.
