Sounds logical to me Hoyt, and would represent a set of antlers for what they truly are & measure.
Basic symmetry side to side-Typical, things get a little to odd-Non Typical.
But every inch counts either way and there wouldn't be a choice about which category the antlers go in, the antlers themselves determine that.
B&C rewards symmetry, as they feel it indicates basic health, and they are not wrong about that.
A 5% non-typical would certainly move lots of typical into non-typical, where their score would pale compared to many bizarre non-typical.
I've only had one set of antlers scored because a buddy made me, he wanted to know what it scored in comparison to the many he had scored.
I have lots of nice antlers, no idea what they score, I just toss them on the pile in the backyard or mounted a few if they were special to me.

Only one I ever scored, had a choice Typical or Non-typical, put it in non-typ as that is what it is.
