good one Deckard! to the OP, the SKS-D was a late model commercial chinese SKS that has a groove machined into the reciever to create the lip that catches the front of the AK mag, and uses a proprietary trigger group with an AK mag release. It is missing the bolt hold open tab and the machined inlet for it, and the bolt carrier does not have a stripper clip guide. If you have a standard hinged floorplate magazine type 45 or 56 SKS then you can get aftermarket duckbill magazines for them in both steel and plastic. There is even a machined block you can install that lets you remove most of the duckbill.
