AK-47 Bakelite Mags?

OK - be kind guys if you want to offload a spare Bakelite mag you know who to PM ;)

Ill post pictures of my AK56 project gun shortly ....
 
OK I scored two Bakelite 30/5 from gteh EE and they are great! I also have an E German bakelite stock enroute and will post pictures when its all done. The Bakelite mags have a star on one and a triangle symbol on the other.

Unfortunately I cant source a bakelite fore-grip... this is becoming an Franken-AK ;)

Congrats on your score. I did see them when they were posted in the EE but I stopped myself since I had one already. The price was great too. BTW you know "star" means Tula and "Triangle/arrow" means Izhevsk :)
 
Agree, Im working on my Russian wood stocks on a Chicom 56... will post as soon as Im done... anyone else have a picture?
 
Americans should be banned from CANADIAN Gunnutz in order to avoid making Canadians so jealous ! id try Irunguns, im sure bakelite mags are easy to find down in the states, and Irunguns can import them in for ya! for a small fee ;)
 
Bakelite mags or what ever the material they made them from do not support rivets very well, thus if rivet brakes then its prohib device. Then all hell will get loose and then if by any chance it gets inserted in to an ak rifle, then it will be so evil that our Canadian way of life will come to an end.
