Only have to wait until July 14th. Just use the time to go through your gear, plan possible stradgedy's (sp?) on google earth, develop loads, and get those skills sharp.
I spent the day working on our old hunting trailer; welded a couple #10 gm screwjacks on the back of the frame for easy levelling/support. Since I added an 8" spacer over the trailing link axle I'd've had to carry a lot of lumber to space up the jackstands I was using.
This'll work great, and since they're welded on, it's one less thing to pack. Next: regrease the wheel bearings, and check the trailer brakes. (yes, the trailer brakes work on our 30yr old, $400 14' forget the name, least they do after my wife rewired them

), then repaint the trailer frame, and so on.
Before you know it, it's mid Sept. and it's time to leave.
