Alberta Hunting season 2020

antlerless elk.... :) Pri 14 :) 999 again
I may look at calf moose this year Pri 1 so that will be a 100% chance of being drawn
as for deer, I'll just get the general and supplemental Whitetail
and I can get 2 more antlerless any deer species tags for my back yard, Bow only, zone. There were 4 deer back there yesterday.
that should be enough tags for me

I'll 999 everything else

P14 for antlerless elk, what are you waiting for? lol

so just got around to putting in my draws. :)

I was mistaken I am currently only P-13 for antlerless elk :( but I did a priority only on that one again so it will be 14 next year

got to pump up my Antlered Moose numbers.

only a few years to retirement and then I can plan some epic hunts :)

Antlered Elk - 1
Antlered Moose - 2
Antlered Mule Deer - 7
Antlered White-tailed Deer - 5
Antlerless Elk - 13
Antlerless Mule Deer - 8
Antlerless White-tailed Deer - 2
Calf Moose - 1
Trophy Antelope - 1

Got this dedicated moose rifle set up today. It's a Husqvarna M96 in 9.3x62, optic is an Aimpoint H30L red dot.

Hoping our plans for a fly in moose hunt in the 500s will go through.

I would have gone with a more conventional scope with some zoom but needed something with a skinny eyepiece to clear the bolt handle on this rifle. If I don't like it I'll have to look into modifying the handle.

I have an old Parker Hale 7mm Mag and it already had the bolt knob ground down and well polished when I got it many years ago. Whoever did the work knew what they were doing and it now gives reasonable clearance from the scope when cycling the bolt.

Yes kc34 I've seen some that have had that done nicely, I have another in .30-06 that has had it done by Bubba and it works fine but is an eyesore.
AJ I tried this one on a really bright sunny day and I could crank it up high enough to see it very easily. The only thing that worries me is getting a chance at 300 yards and not being able see enough to make a good shot.

Scope is mounted backwards. Does it still work like this?
