Has anybody done business with these guys? They have a Remington 700P in 308 for sale, its bedded ( not sure what type of bedding ) has a 20 MOA rail and a tuned trigger. its listed for $1700 bucks, does this price sound right?

I have been called an ATRS "bumhugger" or something to that effect by others on this site so my opinion might be considered biased.

I am extremely happy with the 1/4 MOA performance of my thumper, the advice, service, and the expertise.

I regard Rick to be one of the true gentlemen in the business.

As to price, well, add up the cost of the components and the work. Sounds fair to me.

They're total CRAP!

I would NOT be dealing with ATRS under ANY circumstances to have a new upper built for my AR. I have NOT been talking with them and enjoying our pleasant discussions, nor benefiting from the wealth of knowledge that Rick and Peter have offered.

You would NOT catch me doing any of that... no sir!

:D

Having seen/shot some of their work, and as someone who's soon to own some of it as well, ATRS is no joke - quality and craftsmanship without compare, from my own first-hand observations.

I also give two thumbs up for Rick and his guys...As a newbie to the sport they where very informative and respectful when I picked their brains regarding my first rig. They took the time to explain components and steps towards precision shooting and didn't make me feel like an outcast for not already knowing. Quality of work is top notch as well

Have talked to three shooters at the range that I belong to that own ATRS rifles (the rifles were there that day, I thought they looked very nice). None were happy with their rifles and said that they would not have them do another.

***Don't jump on me, I am just relating what was said.***

If we belong to the same range, and it's the same 3 I'm thinking of, the rifle has nothing to do with the poor performance... lol!

If not, then I don't know what to say... but if it's the three I know out there with 'nutted up custom rigs' they're the most useless shooters I've ever seen, and their handloads suck - you can SEE the seating variation in their cartridges.

Maybe it's a different group, but I doubt it... SPFGA range?

Only way to describe the guys at ATRS is passionate. Rick has done a great job of growing the business and really makes the effort to help you with your purchase decision. I have Bought components and service for all three of my long range guns there. I will continue to be a customer.

There is nothing inexpensive about top drawer service or components. I think the pricing is fair. The Rem 700 P's have the right mods to get you started.

As a new female shooter I can not express enough praise on the professional one-on-one help ATRS gave my husband and I on our custom 50 BMG build that is on Ricks Gallery page which includes a 2 inch 4 shot group photo. The patience Rick has given us on our endless questions on the build (not to mention the time taken to build a grip that fits my hand, and then to fine tune the cheek piece to just the right height...I actually think my husband lost weight which changed the optimal height...which Rick caught!!!) and as many questions after the build has been no less than unbelievable. It has been a business/personal experience we relish as much as the rifle itself. Now its up to my husband to beat my group size/score, since we shoot the same rifle. But, I believe I convinced Rick to build the rifle to fit me just a tad bid better than my husband.

Happy shooting,

I drink Rick's beer every chance I get. I also buy lots of stuff from him because he's willing to source things to suit my eccentric gun habit.

And we've been friends for over 10 years now since the old days at Wholesale.
