Alberta Tactical...

I prefer to shoot alone. I hate to ruin a peaceful outing with sound of another rifle. Never been to a rifle range. I only aim to please me.

I will start posting pictures after I save up enough money for a camera,,,I spend to much on my shooting gear,,

Any forum regarding ATRS brings up the same few complainers. A recent post of mine also went this way. So much so that the company that the complainers pushed will never see a $ of my money just because I refuse to deal with a business that would lower themselves to mud slinging...ATRS could cure a deadly disease and two, or three posters on here would still complain about them

was just laying in bed thinking about this point and remembered that at the edmonton shoot last year he had a brake on it ....to start out with at least.

I really didn't want to stir the pot about accuracy but you brought up a valid point re: my muzzle break project from last year. I cut that brake myself because I was playing around with the idea not long before the shoot. I tested it at 100yds and was impressed by the results but i obviously screwed up the break somehow in all the times I had it on and off and on again just before the shoot because the day of the shoot, I couldn't do anything right with it on which leads me to believe there is more the proper installation on a muzzle brake then just think'n you're gonna spin it on, make it tight and have it work. The second time I shot with it, unfortunately, was at Mutt's shoot.

The group I posted was minus the break with the thread cap on. I think I ditched the break idea right after Mutt's shoot because of other priorities in my life that had come up.

I shot Rick's 300WM today with one of his breaks and it amazed me and a client of mine how little recoil there was. I could have done magic with that gun today had I wanted to run 4 more rounds through the gun, but to tell you the truth, I'm not huge on posting results, for the most part, only because once you know the gun and ammo combo can get the job done, it boils down to the shooter and whether or not you feel like concentrating that day.

I find that my rifle shoots very well every time I take it out. Some days I am a bit better and it really shines. I find it very easy to be a consistent, disciplined, shooter with the rifle as Rick set it up for me. I can honestly say that any inconsistencies in performance are more a result of my reloads - but I am getting better.

I post today simply to state that ATR treated me exceptionally when purchasing my rifle. I was new to the long rang aspect of the shooting sports and at the time ATR advised and outfitted me with a great rifle that shot better for me than any other rifle I owned. Service was awesome, price was very good (not the cheapest and not the most). I would not hesitate to purchase a rifle form ATR nor have an existing rifle in the gun safes built up. They make excellent products and stand behind everything they do. My greatest enjoyment at long range shooting has occurred behind a ATR built rifle.....to me this is the reason you hire a professional. Hire ATR with confidence.

Just went to ATR today myself... I went in for 4 screws to solve a little rail problem... Think I had Rick answering my n00b questions for an hour and a half or more! Everything from mounting a proper rail, to foaming cleaner, to 'oh is this bi-pod better?' and the service was PHENOMENAL!

I asked about the bipod, and did I get a nice quick short answer? Hell no. He goes and throws down a blanket, hooks up different heights on my rifle for me to try out. This is just an example of how in depth he went to share knowledge with someone new to the sport. Every little question I had, was answered completely. By far the best customer service experience I have ever had.

I will definately be going back... I just hafta let the bank account recuperate a little first... rofl.

I have to say that my first experience with ATRS (well, other than buying some primers once prior) has been exceptional.

Dealing with Peter in the shop has been an awesome experience, building a very unique .300 Fireball (you might know it as its proprietary name, .300 Whisper) upper for my AR15. I'm just blown away by the service, including testing the upper to make sure it will function under the conditions I had specified.

I'll definitely be back, and I have to say that Rick and Peter (and the other guys at ATRS I haven't dealt with personally yet) looked good to me before I asked about this build... but now, having actually invested time and money - well, once I pay for it, that is :) - with the ATRS shop they all look even BETTER.

And, meeting Peter and Rick at the Calgary show didn't hurt either - what a couple of solid, interesting guys... who REALLY know their stuff.

And they let me fondle both Rick's personal AR15 and a BEAUTY .338 Edge... oh man, it was straight gun ####. Enough so that the guy I brought with me is now frothing at the mouth to revive his old FAC into a new PAL and is just in love with ATRS after visiting their display with me.
